UNA Fitness is a team of certified physical trainers based out of the greater Chicagoland area. It was founded by Dillon Murray, a NASM certified trainer, who, after working for years on various teams and gyms, saw space for a more holistic and personalized approach to personal training.
The name UNA is derived from the Gaelic word for unity. And that perfectly represents UNA Fitness' philosophy and method for helping people achieve their health goals. They see that people don't exist in silos. Their emotions, their jobs, their relationships create the web that is their lives. This inspired Dillon to craft an approach that took all of this into account. To take a unified and holistic look at a person's life and create personalized and structured plans that will actually work for them.
Since then, Dillon's goal has been to create a team of experts and trainers that will help build into this philosophy through a mutual sharing of ideas, foundational expertise and partnership. Whether it's through meal planning and prep, one on one training sessions or group bootcamps, UNA fitness strives to create empathetic and motivational environments that help people become their best selves.
Fitness isn’t just a career for me—it’s a lifelong passion that has shaped who I am today. On top of the 10 years of exploring, Olympic weight lifting, powerlifting, CrossFit, gymnastics, bodybuilding along with running. Over the past few years, I’ve competed in three bodybuilding competitions, pushing myself beyond my limits to understand what true dedication, discipline, and perseverance feel like. But more than just sculpting my physique, these experiences taught me the power of resilience and commitment—lessons I strive to share with every client I train.
I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to stay motivated, but I also know the incredible rewards that come with hard work. My goal is to help you achieve your own personal transformation—whether it's gaining strength, improving your health, or building confidence. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your lifestyle and goals, and I’ll be there every step of the way to guide and support you.
