Una Fitness was founded to redefine personal training. Too often, fitness is treated as a one-size-fits-all solution, ignoring the bigger picture of a person’s life—their mindset, habits, emotions, and daily responsibilities.

Our name, Una, comes from the Gaelic word for unity, reflecting our belief that fitness should be a holistic experience. Health isn't just about reps and sets; it’s about how you move, think, and feel. Your job, relationships, and mindset all impact your well-being, and our approach integrates training, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching to ensure your success.

Meet the Founder: Dillon Murray

"Fitness isn’t just my career—it’s my purpose."

For over a decade, I’ve been exploring the world of strength training, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, CrossFit, gymnastics, bodybuilding, and endurance running. These experiences have shaped my philosophy and approach to fitness, giving me firsthand knowledge of the discipline, perseverance, and mindset required for success.

I’ve competed in three bodybuilding competitions, pushing my body and mind beyond their limits. But more than the physical transformations, these experiences taught me the power of resilience and commitment—lessons I strive to share with every client I work with.

​

I understand how challenging it can be to stay motivated, overcome obstacles, and find a plan that actually works. That’s why I founded Una Fitness—to provide a personalized, sustainable, and results-driven approach to training. My goal isn’t just to help you lose weight or build muscle—it’s to help you create lasting habits that improve your life in every way.

My journey into fitness wasn’t planned—it was a discovery. After high school, I was searching for direction when I came across a local gym. I applied, got hired as a fitness manager, and that’s where my passion ignited.

​

​Watching trainers change lives made me realize this was what I wanted to do. I wanted to help people move better, feel better, and unlock their potential. I earned my NASM certification and took my training deeper by moving to Colorado, where I spent four years refining my expertise.

​

When I returned to Chicago, I launched my independent personal training business, working with clients of all backgrounds—from weight loss and rehab to strength training and endurance coaching. Over time, I built Una Fitness into what it is today—a community-driven, results-oriented training experience.

​

One thing my clients always tell me? They appreciate my compassion, understanding, and ability to connect. I know that fitness is personal. It’s about more than just getting stronger or leaner—it’s about becoming more confident, resilient, and empowered.
